THE NEW BACH TEMPERAMENT ORGAN TWO CD SET Two Compact Disks that present 22 pieces in a brand-new Bach temperament discovered by Bradley Lehman and contrasts 20 of them with earlier temperaments.
The Recording
The MIDI files were captured direct to disk using Hauptwerk Virtual Pipe Organ Sample Software created by Martin Dyde.
The Vladimir Grygar Organ at Church of the Holy Cross in Litomysl, Czech Republic (2001--51 ranks) was sampled (one pipe per sample in the church's glorious acoustics) by Jiri Zurek and a substantial subset (about 35 ranks) was retuned for all the temperaments in this recording using PipeTune. The recordings total approximately 158 minutes in length. Exact timings and details about the various tunings can be found here.
