How Catholic is it?

The text must truly reflect Catholic theology. It is easy when the words are taken directly from Scripture and the translation is sound, a bit harder when evaluating text that is not from scripture.

The music, now that would seem to be a harder to judge the suitability, but it is not. Our staff evaluates the music on the basis of whether or not they, if blindfolded, would sense whether or not they would know if the church they are standing in is Catholic or not when they hear the music.  It's a simple test and effective.

Many Protestant hymns were once Catholic, so if one goes by origin this can get to be difficult. We choose music that we feel fits the solemnity of the liturgy and does not bring to mind the secular world or church music commonly associated with non-Catholic services.
