Hymns were once required to be approved to be theologically sound if they were to be sung in a Catholic Church. At The Catholic Hymnal™ we intend to carry on that tradition, making hymns available to you that will pass the standards set by the Catholic Church for centuries. As we develop the library of Catholic Hymns, individual books of hymns will become available as part of the project, with plans for what we anticipate to be a ground-breaking advance in music for the Catholic Church yet to come.

• AMAZON.COM Review This is a marvelous collection of Eucharistic hymns from roughly the last 150 years. Arranged for four-part harmony (SATB), they are eminently singable. And the timeless, prayerful lyrics are poetry. The range of moods and styles presented here include traditional French, German, and Slovak hymns as well as works by Thomas Tallis, Orlando Gibbons, and Sir Edward Elgar. Our little church choir has sung a number of these works - they are easy to learn and they sound great.
The book is beautifully bound, and the notes and lyrics are reproduced in a large, easy-to-read format, with plenty of margins for notes. This solid collection of traditional hymns will serve your choir or congregation for a long time.
